Solid platform, minor issues

I built a Client Portal with Noloco for my consulting business. The integration with Airtable was mostly smooth, and the custom branding options were a big plus for professionalism. The user permissions management worked well, which was crucial for my clients. My only real gripe was the initial learning curve for some of the more advanced workflow automations; the documentation could use a bit more depth there. But overall, it's a solid platform that delivered good value for what I needed.

Consistently reliable service

This wasn't my first time using Noloco; I've built a few different apps with them before, including an Expense Tracker and a Knowledge Base. This time, I needed a Member Directory. Just like my previous experiences, setting it up was pretty intuitive. The Data Sync Engine continues to be reliable, which is why I keep coming back. I appreciate that they've maintained the same level of consistency and ease of use. It's always a predictable experience, which is important when you're relying on these tools for your day-to-day operations.

Good for internal tools

I used Noloco to build a simple Internal Tool for our team. It connected well with Google Sheets. Setup was quick, and it works as expected. Happy with the basic functionality.

Easy to get started

So I was looking for something to manage client projects without needing a ton of coding, you know? Noloco popped up. I tried out their Project Management Portal template. It was pretty straightforward to get my data from Google Sheets into it. I mean, it wasn't super fancy, but it just worked. Made my life a bit easier and saved me some headaches trying to mess with custom code. Felt pretty good about it.

Decent value for annual plan

I was looking for an affordable way to build a CRM. Saw Noloco and their annual billing discount. That 20% off yearly plan definitely made the decision easier. I chose to build a CRM Builder, and it integrated with my existing data without too much fuss. It wasn't the cheapest option out there, but considering the features for the price I paid, especially with the annual saving, it felt like a good deal. I got a lot more functionality than I expected for that price point.

Can you actually white-label apps built with Noloco, or is it just 'custom branding' where their logo is still somewhere?

S Susan Moore 1 month ago
You can totally white-label. Your clients won't see Noloco branding at all. It's pretty clean.

J Julia W. 4 weeks ago
Yep, full white-labeling is a feature. You can use your own custom domain too, which helps make it look super professional for clients.

Hey, thinking about signing up for Noloco. Is there any way to get a discount besides the annual billing thing? Like, do they ever do promo codes?

J Jeff Rivera 1 month ago
I think most of their discounts are automatic, like for annual plans or if you're a startup. I haven't really seen coupon codes floating around.

T Thomas Torres 1 month ago
Yeah, I tried looking for a coupon once, no luck. The 20% off for yearly was the only easy one I found. They have programs for non-profits too, I think, but that's a whole different application process.

Does Noloco have a free tier or a free trial? Just want to mess around with it before committing to a paid plan.

M Michelle R. 1 month ago
They have a free trial, yeah. You can build stuff out and see how it works before paying.

K Kyle E. 1 month ago
Yeah, a free trial is available. It's usually for a limited time or certain features, but it's enough to get a feel for the platform.

How long does it typically take to get a basic client portal up and running with Noloco, assuming my data is already in Google Sheets?

A Abigail R. 1 week ago
If your data is clean in Sheets, you could probably have something usable within a day or two. The initial setup is pretty quick.

J James M. 1 week ago
Took me less than a week to get a solid internal tool built out from scratch, connecting to an Airtable base. Google Sheets might even be faster since it's super common.

What happens if I sign up for a yearly plan and decide it's not for me after a month or two? Is there any kind of money-back guarantee?

M Michael J. 1 week ago
I believe they don't offer refunds for annual plans after the initial trial period. Best to check their terms, but that's usually how these platforms work.
5
K Katie Taylor 1 week ago
Don't think there's a money-back for annual plans once you're past the trial. Make sure you use the free trial to its fullest before you commit to a year.

Anyone switch from Stacker to Noloco? Curious if it's actually better or just different. My team is struggling with Stacker's limitations.

E Eric Davis 1 month ago
We moved from Stacker last year. For us, Noloco was way more flexible, especially with custom branding and user permissions. Definitely worth looking into.

O Olivia 1 month ago
It really depends on what you need. Noloco has better workflow automation and data sync, in my experience. Stacker felt a bit more rigid.

I'm a bit concerned about data security. How safe is client info if I'm building a portal with Noloco? Are they good with privacy?

E Elizabeth 3 weeks ago
They mention enterprise-grade security on their site, including stuff like SSL and data encryption. Seems pretty standard for a SaaS platform.

D David Johnson 3 weeks ago
From what I remember, they use pretty robust security measures. I haven't had any issues with data breaches or anything like that in the couple of years I've been using it.
